 What is InstaNet?

InstaNet
is a Web Content Management System (CMS) that allows the non-technical Webmaster to access and update their Web site from anywhere there's an internet connection - and there's nothing to install.

Designed with users in mind, InstaNet has an intuitive interface and sleek design making it a powerhouse CMS with rich features that are easy to use. Information Architects and Content Managers will appreciate the ability to update content on their web site with instantaneous results. This one-of-a-kind application provides true autonomous control over all design and content aspects of any Web site. There’s even an “under the hood” feature that allows the more technical Web site manager to move items around, modify background colors, font colors – tasks normally reserved for the technical web site developers.

InstaNet is programmed in-house by Sarasota County's Web Development team with the latest ASP.NET technology that capitalizes on reusable code and a solid architectural foundation.

Announcing InstaNet v5.2.1!
Watch brief video tutorials of the latest enhancements!
Inline Help available within the edit screen, and the InstaNet Help Online Manual is alive and well at http://instahelp.scgov.net/help.

Video Tutorials are two to four minute training vignettes featuring common InstaNet editing tasks. From the little known feature of saving content as a draft until ready for publication to the creation of mail lists, these clips are designed to help the user in a relaxed and informal conversational format.

The InstaNet Help Online Manual is filled with graphical representations and detailed text descriptions of editing functions. Links to videos and pop-up "click tips" along with Flash content make this manual a departure from staid help documentation. This manual is a work in progress.

Inline Help is available within the editing environments and is accessed by clicking on the small blue question mark in the upper right corner of the edit screen. Inline Help is a presented in a brief, step-by-step format, and is easily printed using the Control-P (Command-P on a Mac) key combination.
